J. STEVEN FENDER

Steve Fender joined Verity Property Management as the Chief Operating Officer and President in February of 2008. Steve is responsible for all of the daily operations of the company and manages the commercial portfolio for Verity Property Management.
Prior to joining the Verity team, Steve and his wife, Lynn, practiced law together in Coeur d’Alene.Their practice was limited to real estate and commercial transactions. Representative clients included title companies, banks, owners, contractors, business owners, and real estate brokers.
Steve attended Georgia Tech on a football scholarship. After serving in the U.S. Army, Steve earned his BS and JD degree from Western State University in San Diego. He has held a real estate broker’s license in California, Idaho and Washington. He is currently a member of the Institute of Real Estate Management® and is currently a Candidate for the Certified Property Manager® designation.
Steve and Lynn have had a 30-year relationship with the previous owner of Verity Property Management. They have owned several multi-family residential properties over the years in California and in Boise, Idaho. Using his expertise in residential property management, financial management and commercial real estate development, Steve assists clients in establishing customized property management programs to meet their needs and increase their property value.
LYNN FENDER
Portfolio Manager—Residential & Office
Administrator
Lynn joined Verity Property Management in February of 2008 as a residential portfolio manager and office administrator. Prior to joining Verity, Lynn and her husband, Steve Fender, practiced law together in Coeur d’ Alene, Idaho. Her practice was exclusively devoted to real estate and business litigation. Lynn graduated with a B.A. from California State University at Los Angeles in 1974. She then accepted a direct commission as a 2Lt. in the U.S. Army and was honorably discharged in 1976. She attended Western State College of Law in San Diego, California and received her J.D. in 1979.
Lynn and her husband Steve have owned several multi-family residential properties over the years in both California and in Boise, Idaho. Lynn is responsible for the direct supervision of the asset managers, assistant managers and maintenance personnel who are assigned to the apartment complexes within her portfolio, which includes all Nampa properties. In her capacity as a portfolio manager, she interfaces with all the vendors, suppliers, insurers and other entities necessary to maintain the properties
under her supervision. She obtains bids and supervises any on-site work required to maintain the properties condition and in order to keep the owner’s vacancies at a minimum and maximize the owner’s income.
BILL LOWE
Portfolio Manager Residential
New to the Boise area, Bill joined the Verity team in April of 2008. His career in real estate began in Newport Beach, California where he sold single-family homes and assisted with the management of approximately 50 units in the Orange County area. Thereafter, Bill accepted a
management position with Prometheus Real Estate Group. He managed properties for Prometheus in Southern California before transferring to their San Francisco office. His successful management techniques led to his promotion as a Property Manager for the Prometheus Corporate Office where he managed over 1500 units. After 18 years with
Prometheus, Bill made a life-changing decision to move to Emmett, Idaho to live on his ranch. Bill holds a real estate license in California and has completed the CAM I and CAM II programs.
His duties include the supervision of onsite managers for the day-to-day operations, maintenance programs and leasing activity. He has expertise in both financial analysis and budget preparation. Bill directly handles owner communications and the strategic planning of the physical properties. He creates, develops and implements marketing strategies, goals and
objectives directed toward maximizing profits and long-term value for Verity owners.
MARNI RICE
Assistant Portfolio Manager Residential
Marni joined Verity Property Management in March of 2008. She comes to Verity from Seattle, Washington, where she began her real estate career with Precision Management as a Concierge at a downtown condo conversion. Within a year she was promoted to Community manager. She managed their North Seattle community for over 6 years. Prior to Verity, Marni was a Resident Services Manager for Avalon Bay Communities, A REIT, who in 2007 was awarded the Pillars of the Industry Award. She was the liaison between the construction team and residential services at a 400 unit rehabilitation project where she was responsible for transferring the current residents to the upgraded apartment homes.
As assistant portfolio manager, Marni oversees the day-to-day operations, maintenance programs and leasing activities for 6 multi-family residential complexes in the Nampa area.
